A two-day exhibition “Art of Mind 2018” to showcase talents of children with Autism has commenced today.
The exhibition organized by the Ministry of Gender and Family in collaboration with the National Centre for the Arts and Maldives Autism Association aims to develop skills of children with autism, increase their participation and provide them with the opportunity to obtain support from professionals in the field.
The Exhibition will remain open from 9 to 10 September 2018, from 10am to 6pm and 8pm to 10pm at the National Art Gallery.
The exhibition will showcase paintings of 79 children, between the ages 2 to 13, seeking services from the Maldives Autism Centre in Hulhumale’ established under the Maldives Autism Association. Visitors who wish to purchase the artwork will be provided with this opportunity at the end of the exhibition.
While Maldives Autism Association has organised similar exhibitions earlier on three occasions, this is a first exhibition, which is open to public.
