Ministry of Gender and Family has extended the opportunity to apply for Rehendhi Award 2017. The deadline to propose names of candidates eligible for this award is 14:00 of 16 January 2017 (Monday).
This year’s award consists of 5 main categories which include;
- Participation and contribution of women in political and public life
- Participation and contribution of women in economic sector
- Participation and contribution of women in social sector
- Contributions towards prevention and protection of Violence Against Women
- Offices/Institutions/Companies working on gender mainstreaming and promote women to leadership positions
Interested candidates can either be self-nominated or nominated by another person, institution or civil society organization. Further information regarding the application process will be available from Ministry’s website www.gender.gov.mv.
Ministry of Gender and Family has conferred Rehendhi Award since 2014, to recognize the contributions and services of women towards self-development and development of the community and the nation. 14 women has received this award to date.
