Ministry’s Ranveyla Campaign in Laamu Atoll Gan and Fonadhoo

Ministry of Gender and Family has conducted Ranveyla Campaign awareness sessions for senior citizens of Laamu Atoll Gan and Fonadhoo. Over 100 elderly persons attended the sessions aimed at increasing their participation within the family and community, enhancing care and support provided to them, and improving their physical and emotional well-being.

She also encouraged the public to take part in the Ministry’s social media campaign “Aguvazankurun” to give recognition for the invaluable services of senior citizens at the island level, atoll level and the national level.

She also met with officials of Laamu Atoll Council, Island Councils, Police, Hospital, Health Centre and Women’s Development Committee members to share information on the ongoing work by the Ministry and discuss issues of mutual interest.
