Minister of Gender and Family, Zenysha Shaheed Zaki, celebrated the occasion of Eid ul Fitr, by organizing a special screening of a popular children’s cartoon film at Schwak Cinema for children aged 3 – 9 years residing at Fiyavathi shelter in Hulhumale ‘ . A total of 67 children from the shelter, accompanied by Ministry staff, childcare workers and their families participated in the event in Male’.
On behalf of Ministry of Gender and Family , Minister Zenysha expresses sincere appreciation to Schwack Cinema, for ._ the special screening , a nd to Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) , Housing Development Corporation (HOC) and Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), for the transport arrangements made for the children.
A separate activity has also been organized by the Ministry for the children at Kuda kudhinge. Hiya in Vilimale tomorrow, as part of the Eid celebrations.
The Ministry currently provides shelter to a total of 153 children, placed at Kudakudhinge Hiya and Amaan Hiya in VilliMale’ and Fiyavathi in Hulhumale.
