Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services Aishath Mohamed Didi partakes in the virtual launching of Digital Portal Ending Sexual Abuse and Domestic Violence.
The virtual launching event was hosted by Commonwealth Secretary General Patricia Scotland.
This digital portal is a joint project by the Commonwealth and NOMORE, a global public awareness campaign focused on ending Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. This portal will help governments and civil society organizations to strengthen their efforts in supporting victims, and educating communities.
Minister Aishath Mohamed Didi delivered a virtual message in the ceremony. Minister highlighted the importance of considering women’s’ and children’s’ issues in Covid-19 response and in creating a safer, fairer and better world.
