Minister of Gender and Family H.E. Zenysha Shaheed Zaki has undertaken an official visit to Addu City. During the visit, she met with staff of the Family and Children Service Centre (FCSC) based in Addu City to discuss ways to strengthen social services provided by the Ministry at the atoll level.
Minister Zenysha also held meetings with senior officials of Addu City Police and Addu City Council to share information on the work undertaken by the Ministry and to discuss areas of collaboration between the relevant agencies. She also met with members of Women’s Development Committee to get a better understanding of their work. During her meetings, Minister Zenysha reiterated on the importance of closer cooperation between stakeholders in efforts to promote social protection in the Maldives.
Minister Zenysha concluded her visit to Addu City today and returned to Male’ this evening.
