Ministry in partnership with MNDF commences a multimedia, web design and skills training course for the children of Kudakudhinge Hiya

Ministry of Gender and Family in partnership with Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has commenced a Multimedia, Web Design and skills training course for the children of Kudakudhinge Hiya, which is currently home to 66 children between 10 years and 18 years.
The course will be carried out for a duration of three months and is recognized by the Maldives Qualification Authority as a Certificate III level programme. The course also covers components such as applying effects and animation and familiarizes children with the skills necessary to be proficient in Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premier Pro, etc.

As part of the programme, the children are also involved in daily physical education activities to promote active lifestyles. The Ministry hopes that these programmes will further enhance children’s physical, cognitive and behavioural skills and help them reach their full potential.

The Ministry would like to thank MNDF for partnering with the Ministry to provide better opportunities for children under State Care. The Ministry hopes to expand collaboration with government organizations, private sector and civil society to provide children with similar opportunities for their development and wellbeing.
