Violence against children
- A total of 125 cases were reported to and attended regarding violence against children, which amounts to 52 percent of the total cases received and attended in June 2019.
- The most frequently reported cases in this category involve cases of negligence, of which 41 cases were reported during this period.
- Other forms of violence against children include 36 cases of sexual abuse, 23 cases of physical abuse, 18 cases of emotional abuse, 4 cases of victims of bullying and harassment, 2 cases of victims of cyber bullying, 2 cases of refusal to vaccinate children and 1 case of witness to domestic violence.
Child rights violations
- A total of 8 cases were reported to and attended in this category in June 2019.
- Reports include 3 cases of violation of right to shelter, 2 cases of refusal of access to education and 1 case of violation of right to health care and medical.
Family issues
- A total of 18 cases were reported to and attended in this category in June 2019.
- Reports include 10 cases of custody or access, 5 cases of parenting issues and 3 cases of child maintenance.
Children in conflict with the law
- A total of 3 cases were reported to and attended in this category in June 2019.
- Reports include 1 case of driving without license and 1 case of physical assault or aggression.
Behavioural problems of children
- A total of 19 cases were reported to and attended regarding behavioural problems of children in June 2019.
- Reports include 5 cases of running away and 5 cases of refusal to attend school.
Gender based violence and domestic violence
- A total of 36 cases involving gender based violence and domestic violence were reported to and attended in June 2019.
- The most frequently reported cases involve forms of physical abuse, of which 20 cases were reported during this period.
- Other cases reported in this category involve 6 cases of sexual abuse, 5 cases of emotional or verbal abuse, 1 case of intimidation, 1 case of negligence, 1 case of withholding or damage to property, 1 case of controlling behavior and 1 case of stalking.
Care and support for elderly and persons with disabilities
- A total of 17 cases were reported to and attended in this category in June 2019.
- Reports include 10 cases related to care and support for elderly and 7 cases regarding care and support to persons with disabilities.
Suicidal behaviour/ thoughts
- 15 cases regarding self-harm and suicidal behaviour were reported to and attended in June 2019.
