Minister of Gender and Family Participates in the 3rd Asia Pacific High Level Meeting on Child Right, Malaysia

Minister of Gender and Family, Ms. Zenysha Shaheed Zaki has participated the 3rd Asia Pacific High level meeting on Child Rights Held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The purpose of the meeting is to address issues relating to violence against children, high quality and universal health coverage as well as to boost sustained economic and social development in Asia Pacific countries to support the achievement of sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Minister Zenysha also participated in the panel discussion on social protection for children, women and families, and shared the experience of Maldives to establish Community Social Group (CSGs) at island level in order to provide social protection for all at community level.

Minister Zenysha, was accompanied by Senior Advisor to the Minister of Finance and Treasury Mr. Mohamed Jaleeel, Senior officials from the Ministry of Gender and Family, Aasandha Company PLC and National Social Protection Agency (NSPA).

The Ministry of Gender and Family in partnership with National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) and Asandha Company PLC, will showcase a market booth to present the social protection system as well as Universal Health Care of the Maldives.
