Ministry of Gender and Family has today, established a network Connecting Family and Children’s Service Centres (FCSCs), located in 19 atolls of the Maldives, to the Ministry.

The network will help to enhance efficiency of the services provided by the FCSCs. Through the network, FCSCs will also be able to utilize the Maldives Child Protection Database (MCPD), that was established by Ministry of Gender and Family earlier this month. In addition, the network will provide all FCSCs with access to all e-government services currently being used by all government offices.

Family and Child Service Centres were established in 19 atolls of the Maldives in order to decentralize the services provided by the Ministry. The network established today is part of the work initiated by the Minister of Gender and Family Hon. Zenysha Shaheed Zaki to strengthen FCSCs and improve the services provided by the centres. As part of this initiative to strengthen the Centres, the Ministry has equipped all FCSCs with necessary computer systems required for operation.
