Minister of Gender and Family Zenysha Shaheed Zaki has undertaken an official visit to HA. Atoll Dhidhdhoo. During the visit, she met with staff of the Family and Children Service Centre (FCSC) in Dhidhdhoo, to discuss ways to strengthen social services provided by the centre.
Minister Zenysha also met with members of HA. Atoll Council and HA. Dhidhdhoo Island Council during the visit. Discussions were held on ways to collaborate and provide services to children, senior citizens and persons with disabilities at community level. Minister Zenysha also paid a visit to HA. Atoll Hospital and met with the management to discuss the services provided to vulnerable groups.
In addition, Minister Zenysha met with members of the Women’s Development Committee of Dhidhdhoo as well as women and elderly participants of the aquatic exercise programme conducted by the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF).
The purpose of Minister Zenysha’s visit to Dhidhdhoo is to attend the closing ceremony of the Basic Sign Language Course conducted by the Ministry of Gender and Family, for public service providers in Haa Alif Atoll.
